Manchester Hall’s Ikonic Transformation
KRIS Furniture have worked with client Manchester Hall for over two years in the run up to its official unveiling on November 2nd. KRIS were awarded the contract to work on the multi million pound restoration to transform and modernise the former Freemasons Hall. The iconic grade II listed building now embraces its history whilst flaunting a fresh and unique interior.
Manchester Hall is expected to reach official completion in 2018 and is located on Bridge Street in Manchester city centre. Once the refurbishment is completed, the boutique venue which is dedicated to conferences, weddings and events will boast not only the newly opened Masons Restaurant Bar, but also a rooftop terrace (the biggest in Manchester city centre) along with six luxurious hotel rooms. All envisioned, furnished and created by KRIS Furniture.
Ikon’s managing director Kevin Rawcliffe has spoken about his work with Manchester Hall: “As a Manchester based company, we are delighted to be chosen for this prestigious project and hope we have done the building proud. Manchester Hall is a grade II listed building which has remained untouched for decades, so our challenge was to enhance its wonderful period features while at the same time bringing it up to date with contemporary, boutique styling and detail.”
KRIS has transformed as many as 11 individual rooms within this grand establishment, however one room that stands above the rest is the breath taking Goulburn suite. Located on the second floor of Manchester Hall, the Goulburn is the venue’s most popular room for weddings. KRIS has transformed the room into a contemporary luxurious haven, perfect for your ‘special day’. The room features an unmissable chandelier that stands at the centre as well as personalised wallpaper that incorporates the Manchester Hall logo to reflect the superb attention to detail and add to the interest of the suite. The bespoke booths and banquette seating implemented by KRIS add comfort and class to the venue space. The room was even selected for The Real Housewives of Cheshire reunion episode, which aired on 14th November 2017.
KRIS also created bespoke furniture and fittings for the adjacent Goulburn bar. The padded interior created by upholstered acoustic panelling add a luxe, exclusive feel, ideal for when guests retire after the event. The fit out showcases Ikon’s bespoke services, unique to each and every client. KRIS work on projects of all sizes and natures, with Manchester Hall being one of the most interesting and exciting to date. The project has allowed the business to create something truly unique that will remain an iconic Manchester jewel for many years to come.
