Did You Spot KRIS On DIY SOS?
KRIS Furniture jumped at the chance to help the DIY SOS team and Pudsey with designer and TV presenter, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to transform a Blackpool-based charity, Blackpool Carers Centre.
The property, formerly Blenheim House, is owned by Blackpool Carers Centre, a charity which provides support for children and young people with caring responsibilities. The renovation saw the property transformed from a run-down, neglected Victorian house to a fantastic, inspiring, safe and happy place for the young carers and is documented in TV show; DIY SOS: Million Pound Build for BBC Children in Need.
Kevin Rawcliffe, Managing Director of KRIS Furniture, said; “The project really appealed to us as it’s a cause that is close to all our hearts. It was great working with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Nick Knowles, the DIY SOS team and Blackpool Carers Centre during the project. It was brilliant to design such a wonderful project together. The aim of the project was to put a smile on the children’s faces to make it a fun but safe environment for them. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would like to thank BBC Children In Need for the great opportunity as well as all the other suppliers involved.”
We loved taking part in the project and of course, assisting with a great cause.
