KRIS at Mixology North Awards 2017

Mix Interiors is the leading magazine for the UK commercial interiors market and we were beyond excited to not only be sponsoring Mixology North 2017 but be nominated as furniture provider of the year!
We’re so proud of the projects we’ve worked on this year with some fantastic businesses. Here’s a little snapshot of some of the projects we’ve worked on.

Manchester Hall, Masons Restaurant & Bar, pop up bar Garage, Manc Frank PR, Amicus and Mioc (Manchester International Office Centre).

We kicked the week off at Mix Inspired hosted at our home from home Manchester Hall. We heard from three speakers with a wealth of experience from Bruntwood, TalkTalk and Avenue HQ.
Office space is changing, gone are boring boxes with no personality and in are office spaces that really allow employees to enjoy where they work. From focusing on wellbeing with breakout areas that feel more like home than work, to recreational activities like mindfulness and yoga and all hands/celebration areas to inspire, educate and most importantly, have fun! Being creative with workspace makes employees happier and more productive – win win!

We rounded off the week at the Mixology North Awards 2017. They’re pretty legendary in the industry and we knew were in for an exciting night  Held at the enormous Manchester central we were in great company with attendees including Gresham, Formica Group and Bridge Architects.  

The awards go all out with fairground rides, acrobats, a DJ set by Craig Charles and party that went on well into the early hours (we had a few sore heads in the KRIS office the morning after), but here’s the team at the start of the night looking fresh and ready to celebrate!  

During the night our very own Charlotte – Head of Commercial Furniture presented the product of the year (surfaces) to Egger UK.

Unfortunately we didn’t win in our category but huge congratulations go to Penketh Group who won thanks to their WorkLife approach which incorporates wellbeing, flexible working and co-working within a modern environment. Celebrating the amazing work happening in the interior design industry is inspirational and we’ve got our sights firmly set on 2018 with some exciting projects in the pipeline.
